Kathy Moore is a marketing, branding, and public relations strategist. Her deep-rooted relationships and collaborative energy have led to many long-term, repeat clients. The firm’s client roster includes companies, cities, counties, destination marketing organizations, universities, nonprofits, and more. Kathy offers a very focused, personalized approach to client service. She initially honed her marketing, storytelling, and public relations skills by working in the field of architectural design, urban planning and community revitalization.
Prior to founding Moore PR in 2008, Kathy served as the Director of Business Development for Frazier Associates Architects & Planners in Staunton, winner of AIA Virginia's Firm of the Year Award (the highest honor bestowed by to a Virginia-based architecture firm.)
Kathy previously worked with The Rouse Company, a national real estate development and management company (later acquired by General Growth Properties, then Brookfield Property REIT.) For The Rouse Company, she managed the marketing and sales program for Westlake Center, a retail destination of 80 shops and urban space in downtown Seattle, Washington, with annual traffic of approximately 10 million people and $48 million in sales.
She served as the Marketing & Public Relations Director for MITHUN, a celebrated urban planning and design firm headquartered in Seattle, Washington. She began her career in design marketing in the Washington, DC office of HOK, a global design, architecture, engineering, and planning firm.
She currently sits on GO Virginia's Region 8 Council, a bipartisan, business-led economic development coalition that aims to help diversify and strengthen Virginia's economy.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Virginia and holds a certificate from the McIntire Business Institute at UVA.
She is a member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).
